The Remote Control Support Page
You have been directed to this page because you need some online help!
If you click the link below, you will be invited to download a file which will allow me to take control of your computer for a limited time. Once we are disconnected, I will never be able to re-instate that connection unless you provide me with fresh details.
For Apple OS
For Linux Systems
If you are a Windows, Apple or Linux user, your software will download a file directly.
Mobile users will need to select the appropriate app from the page that displays.
SAVE the file, so it is ready for you to use on subsequent occasions. Please note carefully just where you save the file! If you can, saving it on the desktop is often the easiest option.
On a Windows machine, when you want to call Woodchip Computers to make a connection, double-click the file, TeamViewerQS.exe to open the program. You will probably see a confirmation box (see left)
... Click on Run - and then click OK on the second confirmation as it appears.
You should now see the TeamViewer control box. Now is the time to contact WoodChip Computers.
If you are in the UK, it is by far the easiest to call Chris on the phone. If calling from abroad (particularly for Sudanese clients, this is not practical and we need to have arranged an appointment by email.
If you see the box on the right and you have a telephone connection, your troubles are over! Chris can talk you through all you need to do.
If you have no phone connection, you need (at a pre-arranged time) to send an email with the ID and password shown on your screen. When that mail arrives, Chris should be able to take over control.
When the connection is made, your screen will (temporarily) lose any background pictures. This is to make communication a little quicker.
If we cannot talk on the phone, we can "talk" with each other by typing in a message box that will appear.
Because the software is provided freely, when the connection is closed, there will be a small advertising box on your screen. Click on the "X" in the top right corner to close this.
